Our activities during the Corona plague
A thank you letter that we received from one of the kindergartensfor spcial education that we adapted:
“On 31st in March before noon we received a call from one of the specialty
kindergarten teachers with a request to help purchase small trampolines for
the special children's apartments to allow them and their parents to be
engaged in positive things.
Within an hour three trampolines were ordered, a set of doughs and art
materials and by the evening, we were receiving the attached videos.
They are happy, we are even more, and you are leading partners in every
good thing we do. We just wanted to share and thank you.
The grandmother upgraded the trampoline you donated and the boy is happy
and this is another boy he has received and is very happy about
Thanks you dear Friends 4 Sderot, this is a huge contribution to the
children"
On 27th in March we received (in Hebrew) from Tohar,
The young woman that replace Esti who use to run the after school "Clubs for children at risk".
As follow:-
Dear friends of “Friends for the society”
Amidst this chaos, I want to put a spotlight on the light spots that are revealed.
As you know, we are all in closure and in this state of emergency we decided to run one club for 8 children each day to give me the promise that the children eat every day a hot and nutritious meal cooked by the mother of the house and that we can examine and monitor their condition at home.
Last night, I went out to share some food and clothing vouchers in one of the houses that could not reach us. (Unfortunately, in this situation I cannot enter, but only reach the entrance to the building)
I came to a young single mother suffering from a disease that forces her to be on diapers and after a medical procedure last week – she is disabled for bed and home.
This means she is unable to cook for our child and certainly not go shopping.
I asked her what she needed and she replied "eggs, milk, onions, bread" The basic things we all have at GW.
I contacted good people and at noon she received all the groceries, and in the near future she would receive hot and cooked food every day.
Honest, the situation is difficult; we are dealing with something we have never faced, but with our full glory.
On this occasion,
Thank you so much for the messages and help that make us well and warm my heart
and a huge power to the mothers' homes of the clubs in this emergency take care of families and cook wonderful and comforting food.
We will soon return to a normal and full routine but new – better for each other
