To the Friends for The Society,
Dear "Haverim",
Two weeks ago, I have approached you with a request for help, and you my dear friends agreed with no hesitation. "A" immigrated to Israel with her family few years ago and started new life in Israel. Unfortunately, the family broke up and did not survive the change. I have met "A" during her hospitalization at the Psychiatric Department for Youth, where she arrived for help and recovery. "A" is a very smart and talented girl, but she needed help with the challenges that life had summoned for her. She expressed her wish to learn the piano and together we started working and practicing. In the piano she found her personal voice and some peace. As she wrote: "I fell in love with this amazing instrument and enjoyed every second I played it. Playing the piano improved my mood, and now I can pay songs and melodies that I like."
When she was released from the hospital, she feared she could no longer play and thanks to your kindness and deep understanding of the tremendous impact of music on children, she now has a piano. She got a scholarship for the local community music school and will continue her studies.
Thank you so much for making a difference, I am
Truly yours,
Sarah Elbaz
